Hi Families!
Just a few reminders with all of our Christmas stuff going on this week!
Our 5-day class Christmas parties will be tomorrow 12/18. Check with your child's teacher if you need more information.
Our last practice for the Christmas program was today. As you can see, we're ready to sing our songs for you!
On Wednesday, we'll open the Sanctuary doors at 8:30. The preschool building doors will be closed until 8:50 so that we can get all of our 2s into their classrooms and settled before the "big kids" come in. On Wednesday, our 2s are the only classes who will do carpool. We ask that our 2s start carpool in the back parking lot at 8:35 so we can be finished by 8:45.
If you arrive with your 3s or 4s before 8:50, please head to the Sanctuary with your child and grab a seat. I'll head over to the Sanctuary at about 8:50 to walk over all of the children who are waiting there. If you arrive after 8:50, just park and walk your child to his/her classroom. The program will start promptly at 9:15.
For our whole school performances, classes will be in the same basic positions they were for the Thanksgiving program--but shifted a little further to the right because of the giant Christmas tree in the Sanctuary! The 4s will be on the left side of the altar, then Mrs. Knudsen's class in center, with Miss Didi's and Mrs. Heebner's classes on the right. When the 2s come in, Miss Jaycie's class will be on left, Mrs. Anderson's class in the middle, and Miss Emily's class on the right. The program lasts about 40-45 minutes.
Our Christmas cookies have started to arrive! After our Christmas program, everyone is invited to stop back at Fellowship Hall for some cookies and milk (or punch!) We will have store-bought cookies available, but we ask that each family send in a dozen home-made cookies along with the recipe to help fancy things up! You can send these in any time this week--or drop them off at Fellowship Hall before the program on Wednesday. We'll share the recipes on the blog after the holidays--and in a printed booklet next Christmas.
