Getting Ready For St. Patrick's Day

There's been a lot of green--and some gold--around WIPP this week!  We're getting ready for the 24th annual WIPP St. Patrick's Day parade.

Friday, March 15, is not a regular school day for us.  WE WILL NOT HAVE EARLY BIRDS, CARPOOL, OR LUNCH BUNCH.  We ask parents to bring students to the classroom no later than 9:05, so everyone is ready to roll at 9:15.  The parade begins in the church lot in front of the preschool and continues down North Cromwell Road before turning into to May Howard Elementary School's carpool driveway.  We walk down and around the traffic circle before coming back to the church parking lot.  We have many special guests including the Savannah Grand Marshal and his court, a marching band, the Southside Fire Department and the Glor na Daire dancers!  Children are dismissed to their parents immediately following the parade at about 10:00.

It looks as if the weather will be perfect!!!  We can't wait!

Our 2s join the parade in wagons/strollers pulled by a parent, our 3s ride in decorated trailers, and our 4s march! Everyone is invited to wear green-or your WIPP St. Patrick’s Day t-shirts.  Check backpacks for these tomorrow 3/13.
