Parent Email 2/15/19
Hi Families!
Just a couple of things!
First, thank you to everyone who helped make our Valentine parties so much fun. Check the class blogs for some pictures!
Next a reminder that we have off this Monday 2/18 for President's Day. Public schools are in session, but we're off! Enjoy the day!
March 8th is designated as a Parent Conference Day on our calendar. It's earlier than most of our previous spring conference days so your child's teacher may delay sending home assessments and scheduling conferences until after Spring Break. Remember if you'd like a conference at any time, all you need to do is let your child's teacher know.
For the most part our classes have been fairly healthy. There are a couple of classes that have had confirmed flu cases and we've let the parents in those classes know so that they can be extra vigilant. We'll continue to do a daily health check and let you of any issues.
We're extending our food and supply drive for Coastal Pet Rescue for another week. We've gotten a lot of the things on our initial request list and we've added some more!

February Update
Hi Parents!
It's hard to believe that we're already into February! If your child will be attending WIPP next year and you haven't turned in your registration yet, please do that quickly. Right now we still have at least a couple of spots in each of our classes, but with registration now open to everyone they may fill quickly. You can find registration forms and information at wippreschool.blogspot.com/2019/01/happy-new-year.html or call Miss Lesley in the office at 912-897-7568.
If you're planning ahead for summer, WIPP will once again offer our summer camp program, Sunshine Summer, right after our school year ends (weeks of May 20th, 28th, and June 3rd.) You can get a glimpse of one of our weeks from last year at https://wippreschool.blogspot.com/2018/06/sunshine-summer-week-3.html . The hours are 9:00-12:00 and each week has a $10 registration fee and $60 tuition. We'll be sending forms home in March. Children must be completely potty-trained to attend.
Speaking of potty-training :-) Just a reminder that in order to attend our 3s, children must be potty-trained and independent in the bathroom. I know that most of our 2s are well on their way to this, but if your child is not, please make sure the teachers know how you're working on this at home. We'll do everything we can to support you and help out.
Sweet Feet Soccer starts next Monday, February 11, and Scoops Lacrosse begins on Tuesday, February 12th. You can find all of the information you need to register http://wippreschool.blogspot.com/2019/01/soccer-and-lacrosse-spring-sessions.html .
Thank you for sending in your ink and toner cartridges for recycling. We take them each month to Staples and use the money for our office supplies--mostly paper! We haven't had to pay for case paper yet this year!
Next week we'll be collecting supplies and money for Coastal Pet Rescue. You can check the donate page on their website (http://coastalpetrescue.org/donate/) for additional information on what they need, but we're focusing on collecting change and the items below. Purina One/Purina Pro foods are preferred. Look for a paper list coming home with the information repeated.

Thank you for being so proactive in letting us know when your child is sick and in following our health protocols to keep sick children home. We've had isolated cases of the flu, ear infections, stomach bugs, etc., but with the exception of one of our 4s rooms :-( we've been remarkably lucky in staying healthy. We'll continue to our part with hand-washing, nose-wiping, and classroom cleaning.

TTH 2s Pajama Day
Today Miss Emily and Miss Terry's Tuesday/Thursday 2s wore their pajamas to school, watched some Paw Patrol, and had a special popcorn snack! Tomorrow will be PJ Day for everyone else.

Soccer and Lacrosse Spring Sessions
Scoops and Sweet Feet will be resuming their after-school sessions at WIPP in February. All students (even our 2s!) are invited to participate in the spring sessions--but they must be COMPLETELY POTTY-TRAINED!

Happy New Year!
Everyone was excited to be back at school--even if the temperatures didn't make us feel much like January and all of our SNOW projects were wishful thinking!
We sent home all of the forms and information this week for registration for the 2019-20 school year in backpacks. There was also an email sent out today with copies of all of the forms attached. Below you'll find a copy of everything also--we want to make sure no one misses the info! :)
Some classes fill up quickly, so make sure you get your forms filled out and back to us. There are special instructions for our rising 4-year-olds who are trying for the preschool lottery so we don't miss anyone. If you need another form, just let us know!
Also, if your family has been impacted by the government shutdown and you need a delay in sending in tuition payments, please let me know. We'll be happy to work with you.
