Our 34th annual WIPP St. Patrick’s Day Parade was soooo wonderful today! The weather was perfect, the participants were such fun, and the mood was just plain joyful. The community spirit shone bright! We are so grateful to the official Savannah St. Patrick’s Day Grand Marshal and Executive Committee for carving out time from their busy schedule to make our parade the annual event that it is!
One of our WIPP teachers came to the school over the weekend to redo outdoor chalkboard so the preschoolers can have more fun with it outside. Thank you, Ms. Amanda! 🥰
Our 2s are such busy, fun little learners! They love to glue, paint, build, pretend, and play. Their tiny fingers and hands are building the muscles needed to write when they play. Looking at their fingers as they play, the pencil holding “pincer grasp” is clearly being developed as they manipulate objects by squeezing and pinching. Their language is also developing when they play with each other or whisper to themselves. Everyday is filled with this meaningful, playful fun for the 2s!
WIPP’s 34th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade is less than a week away, and the preschoolers are busy getting ready for it! They are creating noisemakers, necklaces, and more. We have also had daily visits from a Leprechaun in our PreK 4s classroom!
Seven of us WIPP staff members just returned from the Georgia Preschool Association’s Annual State Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. Each of us attended over eight hours of trainings on a variety of topics. Everyone is very excited to bring the great ideas learned back to WIPP! A BIG thank-you to our WIPP families’ support that let us close the preschool Friday so that many of us could attend! ☺️
