We were blessed with beautiful weather for our end-of-the-year picnic at Tybee.

End-of-the-Year Picnic

Tomorrow 5/14 is our picnic at Tybee's Memorial Park. It's not a regular school day! Meet us at the park at about 10:00 for a morning of fun and friends!

The weather is looking perfect! We'll start grilling hotdogs about 10:00 for anyone who wants one! The preschool provides hotdogs, buns, and ketchup/mustard for all!

Please bring your own drinks and any sides/snacks that your child might want. The WIPC Youth Group will also have sodas and candy for sale! There are picnic tables available, but you can also bring beach chairs or a blanket for the grass.

Remember if you don't have a Tybee Island parking sticker, you have to pay for parking. If you're not familiar with the meters on Tybee, check this link:

http://tybeeisland.com/tybee-information/tybee-parking-information/ . Since the playground and pavilion are right behind the library, it's sometimes closer to park on Butler than it is to park in the Memorial Park lot off Jones.

Mother's Day Program

Friday, May 10

•  Our 2s will be dropped off in the back carpool between 8:45 and 9:00 just as we did for our previous programs.  We ask that parents walk all 3s and 4s to the classroom between 8:50 and 9:05.  (If you arrive before 8:50, please take your child to the Sanctuary with you.  We'll be getting the 2s organized prior to that and would like to keep our building closed and secure as long as possible to make sure all of them are in their classrooms and settled down!)  Children won't need backpacks!
• We will open the doors to the Sanctuary at 8:40.  
• If you arrive prior to 9:00, please make sure you park in the front parking lot because we'll be doing 2s carpool in the back lot.  If you arrive after 9:00, the back lot will also be available for parking.  The program begins at 9:15.
• The 4s will be on the left side of the church (Summer Breeze side) during the group performance; the 3s will be in the center and  to the right side (parking lot side) of the altar; and the the 2s will be spread out in the front row. There's a little schematic below to help you figure out where your child will be.  (You can also check photos on FB and/or the blog from practices.) Each class will also sing an individual song while standing at the center of the altar.  
• After the program you're invited to stop by Fellowship Hall for a muffin and then spend a little time relaxing at the Bill Lester field (the site of our former playground) and/or the picnic tables and playground.  We'll provide the muffins and drinks!
• Don't forget to bring your picnic blanket or beach towel!  This is an outside event and it looks as if the weather will be spectacular!

Other Reminders

• Monday, May 13th, is the last class day in the preschool building.
• On Tuesday, May 14th, our end-of-the year picnic will begin at 10:00 at Memorial Park on Tybee Island.  We'll be grilling hotdogs for everyone!  Look for more information and reminders in an email this weekend.
• Our 4s will return to the building for their Graduation Celebration on Wednesday, May 15th.  Following the 9:15 program in the Sanctuary, our 4s and their families are invited to join us in Fellowship Hall for an Ice Cream Social.

WIPC Vacation Bible School

Wilmington Island Presbyterian Church will hold its Vacation Bible School June 10th thru 14th from 9:00 AM – noon daily.

Registration forms are located in the church office or on the website: www.wipcsav.com

Deadline for registration is May 13th. We do fill up fast so please don’t wait too long.

Along with registration form(s) there is a “Use of Photograph Release” form(s) that also needs to be filled out.

End of the Year Info

This is such a busy time of year!

Happy Easter!

Thank you to everyone who helped make our Easter parties so much fun for our kids.  There is no school tomorrow, Monday 4/22.  We'll start back with our classes on Tuesday 4/23.

Parent Email 4/16/19

Below is a copy of the email that we sent out to families today.

Hi Families!

We're SO excited about our Easter Egg Hunts (and parties!)  If you haven't sent in a set of filled plastic eggs for your child's class party, please do so ASAP!  You can also bring them to the party if you've run out of time.

On Wednesday Miss Didi, Mrs. Knudsen, and Mrs. Anderson will be off-campus for their parties.

On Thursday both of our 4s classes, Mrs. Heebner's class, Miss Jaycie's class, and Miss Emily's class will all be off-campus for their parties.

We have off Friday and Monday for our Easter Break.  Classes will resume on Tuesday, April 23rd.

If you're interested in having your child attend our Sunshine Summer programs, forms and registration fees need to be turned in by next Wednesday, April 24th.  There is a copy of the registration form (with more details) below.
