Santa's Helpers

After some hard work yesterday, we got to see some of Santa's helpers at carpool today!

Featured Classes: M-F 3s

It's no surprise that our five-day 3s are working on holiday decorations at this time of year!

They're also playing and working hard; celebrating birthdays at snack time; and practicing independence by putting on coats all by themselves!

Christmas is in the air at WIPP!

If you're looking for a fun holiday activity that you can do at home with your child, put out a small Christmas tree with some garland and ornaments.  Preschoolers love to decorate (and undecorate!) and it's a great activity to develop fine motor skills.  Add in some small empty boxes with scissors and tape to wrap and unwrap for an afternoon of fun.  Remember that the process is what's fun for this age, no matter what the end product looks like!

December Newsletter

Inclement Weather

As we approach the time of year when temperatures might dip below freezing (!!!) just a reminder that if Savannah-Chatham public schools close because of bad weather, we also close. If they have a 1-hour delay, our hours are 10:05-12:05. If public schools have a 2-hour delay, we are closed.


Christmas Week Information

Class Christmas Parties:  Classes will have their Christmas parties on Wednesday or Thursday (12/14 or 12/15) depending on attendance days. Keep your eyes open for more information from your child’s teacher and/or room mother.

Christmas ProgramOur school Christmas program will be on Friday, December 16^th , at 9:30 in the Sanctuary. All of our children will participate in the performance. Our 4s will borrow Nativity scene costumes supplied by the school. We ask that all other students dress in nice holiday clothes.

Everyone is invited to join us for cookies and punch afterward in Fellowship Hall. We’d like to do our second annual school-wide cookie/recipe share this year. As your family does their holiday cookie baking, would you please make an extra dozen to send to school? See the bottom of the newsletter for more information.

A Peek Ahead at January

We return to school on Tuesday, January 3^rd.
No school on Monday, January 17^th. (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day)

W.I.P.P. CHRISTMAS COOKIE RECIPE EXCHANGE
As you start your holiday baking, please make an extra dozen of your favorite cookies and send them to school on a disposable plate (paper or plastic) along with one copy of the recipe. If you’d like to include your name, that would be great, but we’ll accept anonymous donations! These can be sent to school during the week of December 12^th and we’ll store them until our program on Friday morning. Please return the small slip at the bottom if you’d like to participate.
