We hope that you are having a wonderful summer! There are a few slots left in our M-F 4s classes. All of our 2s and 3s classes are full at this time and we're working at maintaining our waiting lists and keeping families up-to-date. If your child is enrolled for the 2011-2012 school year and there is a change of plans, please let us know as soon as possible so we can contact families who are waiting to attend. Registration information can be found on our blog's January 8th entry.
We will be mailing out our back-to-school letters in the next few weeks, so keep your eyes open!

Sunshine Summer: Week 3
Kiddy-up for our Sunshine Summer Rodeo! Our building was overrun with sheriffs and cowpokes during week 3 of Sunshine Summer. We're pretty sure that all of our "pardners" had a great time!
Sunshine Summer: Week 2
Think palm trees, cool drinks and the ocean.....
Week 2 was all about the beach.
Week 2 was all about the beach.
We made a beach in a bottle craft one day. Our special snack this week was pudding (with blue food coloring to look like water) with sand (cookies crushed on top.) Of course, we put a little umbrella in the snack to finish it off. We had lemonade with a special straw too.
The 4's went home on Friday with their hula skirts, sunglasses and leis that they made. They looked so cute!

End-of-the-Year Picnic
We had a wonderful time at our end-of-the-year picnic at Tybee Island's Memorial Park. Thank you to everyone who helped make it so much fun--and to all of the families who came out to celebrate the end of our 2010-2011 school year.

Week of May 9th
We've had a lot of fun things going on this week as we prepare to wrap up the 2010-2011 school year.
Enjoying nacho chips and salsa...
...along with taquitos in Mrs. Whitaker's room
Making tie-dye t-shirts with Mrs. Reese
Picking strawberries at Ottawa Farms...
...then enjoying a snack afterward
Friday, May 6
After lots of practice, our Mother's Day Program was finally here. We shared our songs and the gifts we'd made and then, just as it started to rain, we settled down to enjoy brunch with our moms. We had to eat in our classrooms instead of the Memorial Garden, but we had a lot of fun anyway!
Thank you to everyone who donated to our Moms Helping Moms project. We collected several boxloads of items for Safe Shelter.

Tuesday, May 17
Today is the graduation day for our 4s and the last regular day of the 2010-2011 school year. Tomorrow we meet at Tybee's Memorial Park at 9:30 for our end-of-the-year picnic. Pack your drinks, snacks, and side dishes to go along with the grilled hotdogs that the school will provide. It looks as if the weather will be perfect for a morning of fun and fellowship.

Getting Ready For Mother's Day
Moms, we've been working on our Mother's Day gifts and practicing our songs, and we can't wait to share them with you! Bring us to our classrooms at 9:15 on Friday and then go over to the Sanctuary and get a good seat. We'll be in at 9:30 to start our program.
Afterward, we'll go over to the Youth Education Building to get some muffins and fruit salad. Bring a blanket so we can sit outside and eat and enjoy the beautiful weather. Photography by Lori will be there to take Mother's Day pictures. Cost is $8 and all of the school's proceeds go to charity. We're so excited!
